I just picked up the new issue of Successful Hunter magazine. Phil Shoemaker has a very good column this month, on where your money goes on an outfitted hunt. I have seen several threads here, on people wondering why guided hunts cost so much. This article pretty much lays it out. I don't know mr Shoemaker personally, but he strikes me as a no BS sort of guy, I really enjoy reading his columns.

and educational. I really enjoy his articles.

Maybe the guided hunt I am going on this fall is not a bad deal at all!
