I lost all respect for him years ago when I took my wife to see him and he stumbled out on the stage stone drunk and could`nt sing .

I had the opposite experience. I saw him in concert in the early 90's and it was great! His fiddle player had to remind him what song they were doing next though. I think he had the perfect voice for country music. RIP Possum.

I never figured anybody, ANYBODY!!, could cover any of Hank's songs until I saw George do "Your Cheatin' Heart" on stage about 1990.

We're gonna miss him, that's for sure...

He was a great musician and an interesting character, but my question is: did he hunt? If not, can one of the moderators please bounce this thread?

Just tell yourself, "it's all part of the adventure." Remember, if Robert Ruark had gotten upset every time problems with Harry
Selby's flat bed truck delayed the safari, Horn of the Hunter would have read like an indictment of Selby. But Ruark rolled with the punches, poured some gin, and enjoyed the adventure.

At least CHC's threads attempt to be about hunting.

I would just like to off topic threads get sent to Miscellaneous Topics.

Why muddle-up this forum with off topic stuff?
