Has anyone gone on a January caribou hunt in Quebec? Is there any chance of finding a bull with antlers yet? Or just cows?

I've been on a mid-January hunt for caribou in the Yukon (Dempster Highway). Most of the better bulls had lost their horns. 50 to 75% of the smaller bulls and cows were still sportin their racks though.

The best part of January caribou is the meat. Dee-lish! Hope you can take yours back with you.

Cheers,
Canuck

Good to hear. Winter Caribou meat is phenomenal. Ranks right up there with stone/dall sheep and bison.

Good luck on your trip!

Cheers,
Canuck
