Thats approx 2 miles a day. Most people walk that far everyday. If I was scrounging food and chasing cows I would put on more.

I have been keeping track of my walks for the past 4 years.

I have been averaging over 10 km a day!!

My problem is I cannot sit still.

On Friday I spent all day in my workshop making bullets.

Did over 15,000 steps!!

And the furthest I went was to walk to our pool to have lunch, and the pool is probably about 220 yards away. Big Grin

First off the gray wolf was never endangered.

They have had a very viable population in AK and Canada.

They were missing from many area in the lower 48 but mostly for the good.

Can't say 8000 miles for a critter that makes a living running things down daily isn't that much.

Article states the wolf entered California January 24,2018. 7464 miles / 745 days = 10 miles a day.

The short article also manages to throw in mention of "illegal kill" three times though there is no evidence at this point to suggest such. Never mentions once things like starvation, mange, distemper, heartworm, injury, or any of the more likely causes.
