I am from california. I am looking in to going to New Mexico or arizona for antelope in fall of 2002. Any body out there that can help me out with any info of good areas to apply for? I am not looking for a guide

Unless you are archery hunting, forget about AZ for antelope. I've been trying to get a rifle tag for 8 years.

Check the Boone & Crockett books and magazines for the latest listings. After noting what counties are producing the trophys, contact the county officials(land commissioner, land records, chamber of commerce etc) for the local ranches. Then start making your contacts. You will soon learn what ranches are offering hunts, prices. Sometimes these do it yourself hunts pay off especially with antelope. sure-shot

My recommendation is that you try Wyoming, Montana or the Dakotas.
