This year was another succesful hunt in the Oklahoma Panhandle. I usually tag out the opening morning but held out and hunted this guy for 4 days. It was well worth the hunt and wait. The deer field dressed 185lbs and scored 159 7/8. He also had two points tipped off which would have put him just over 160. The pheasant population was way down but this guy more than made up for the lack of birds. His G1 is a tad over 8" and sports 5" bases. He has close to 36" of mass measurements. Just a real impressive deer that is going to have a very impressive mount. Bob Texas Verminator Verminator Predator Calls Pro Staff

I was shooting a Remington LSS 280 topped with Zeiss 4.5-14 and shooting 140gr Nosler Accubond reloads. I was actually stalking up to a wide 10 point when I jumped this guy out of a creek bottom. I had seen him 2 days before season at around 35 yards when he chased a doe up to me. I knew he was a shooter then and remembered his right G1. I never saw him again until I dropped him with one shot. The 10 would have been in the low 140's. He should be an awesome deer next year. This years buck was shot in the same draw as my 11point last year and maybe 300 yards apart. We have some pretty good genetics going on. It helps just to let them grow up. Beautiful buck. I was afraid to click on "Oklahoma 11 pt" because I thought it might be someone with a 10 point buck and their pants down. Nice buck. I enjoy hunting that area of Oklahoma... real sleeper for some great deer! The buck I was really after was a monster back in October. When i found him two days before season he was all busted up. Would have swallowed this buck, easily 170. Broke his left main beam off in front of G2. 3rd year I have watched him. Texas Verminator Verminator Predator Calls Pro Staff

Hey Bob, Sure looks like a fine Trophy Buck to me. Dosen't detract at all about the Tips being a bit damaged - from my perspective. Fine Kill with what sounds like plenty more to choose from in the coming years. Good Hunting and clean 1-shot Kills.
