I've been talking to an outfitter about applying for Colorado Elk Area #1.
Anyone have any experience there?? Thoughts?? Suggestions??

Unit 1 is pretty small, access is quite limited, a lot of it is private land and it will likely take a few years of point building to draw a tag. There are some good and better bulls in there and if your outfitter has "connections" it could be a real good hunt.

Find out if he has: Private Land Vouchers.
IF so, and you can FINANCE it, should be a good chance of filling your tag.

IF not, beware!
Check the guy and offer out with: CPW.com
CO Parks/Wlf.

Luck to you,
George
