Hello.
I`ve been thinking about booking a musk ox hunt in greenland come next summer, and was wondering what gun to bring.
What caliber would be recommended for these animals?
Looks like a beatiful landscape, and should be a good way to spend my summer vacationSmiler

You can kill musk-ox with almost any caliber - the Inuit often use .222s and .223s. It is most common for visiting hunters to shoot calibers from .30-06 and upwards. With premium bullets, such calibers work. Bigger calibers work considerably faster, though. I happen to know a guy who has been hunting musk-ox in Greenland almost every year for about 10 years or so. It is obvious from his video material, that the bigger calibers kill the beasts faster, although smaller will also do. I have only killed 2 musk-ox myself, and could not have been more pleased with my .375 H&H. There was a BIG difference from that to smaller calibers.
