Wayne Carlton's call and video worked for me Big Grin

Good Luck! Cool

" If ye love wealth better than liberty, the tranquility of servitude better than the animating contest of freedom, go home from us in peace. We ask not your counsels or your arms. Crouch down and lick the hand which feeds you. May your chains set lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that ye were our countryman " Samuel Adams, 1772

Just use your hands. The commercially made moose calls are junk. If you wanna really get fancy roll up some birch bark into a cone and then grunt into it. You should be able to look something up on youtube on the subject, I would imagine.

MontanaJeff-
I am surely no expert on moose calling but was successful on opening day of the Montana moose season. I had spotted 4 bulls and 4 cows in a field the morning before the opening day. We made a plan to go in the next morning and hunt the area. We were there before sunlight and waited about 1 hour for the moose to show but nothing. The previous day they had been in the field before sun rise. I had watched several hunting shows were they used a coffee can with shoelace to imitated a bull call. (If you are not familiar with this call you can PM me and I will explain) My friend that was with me gave the call a try and within 10 to 15 minutes we had 2 bulls coming in. I took the biggest of the two at 450 yards. I am convinced if we had not called the moose they would have not showed themselves. The day before when we spotted them they had already went back in the willow bottom and bedded down by this time in the morning. I may be wrong but the call seemed to have done the job.
I had purchased two vidios by Wayne Kubat titled Love, Thunder and Bulls 1 and 2 that were very helpful on moose calling and patterns.
Hope this helps
