Last week I was hunting in West Texas near the Davis Mountains. Beautiful area. Absolutely loved it.  My Tikka 308 was enjoying the scenery.  Shot my first mule deer at 150 yards. He was a big bodied deer, especially for someone used to Whitetails.   Shot my first Javelina at 20 feet.  | ||

You did great! I am headed to West Texas to hunt hogs in February and Aoudad next fall. Hard to beat a Mule Deer hunt!! | |||

I also shot a hoglet as Geedubya calls them. Saw some Aoudad but they were at the tops of the cliffs and couldn't get within 500 yards of them.  | |||
