Brooks, thanks for the info. I may look up your friend and ask some questions. I plan to hunt the whole season if need be and just maybe we will get some weather to move the elk down. I'm holding out for a real big 5x5 or 6x6.

I drew a bull tag for the Cowiche unit. I got maps and will go scout the area this weekend. I plan to hunt the whole elk season if I have to, as I want better that just a rag horn bull. If anyone has any info they would like to share with me I would be most greatful. I would like to know what part of that unit would be a good place to start my hunt and is it possible to kill a 6x6 over 300 in this unit? I couldn't get hold of the biologist for the unit as of yet. I would also like to know if any good deer are in the area. I may try to hunt deer in this unit to help learn the area better. Thanks Again Donato
