That is a nice deer and a good shot.
What kind of slug and how far did he go after the shot?

Good Mulie! congrats!

I like the photo you took!

Tell me, do you have to use a slug gun or was it your choice? bewildered

I had a 375 in the truck but went for a walk after chicken, ruffed grouse, and two bucks came into range, first deer I have taken with a slug.slug was a winchester 2 and 3/4" regular slug.Took pictures of it if anyone was interested, slug was recovered on off side hide, impressive for a 120 yard shot I thought.Did not knock him down but he didnt walk too far Laid down in a nice spot.He had a buddy with him that stayed with him until I walked up,nice of him.I took pics of the slug if anyone is interested..

Way to Go! and nice pics.

For the expansion demonstrated the little dimple on the nose is pointless I guess. If they shoot well enough though the size hole is plenty. Makes me think the dimples for cosmetics! Big Grin

Not sure what the dimple is for ,,,the slug didnt deform hardly at all..Not sure if it would have at a closer range..At over a hundred yards it just held its original shape I guess..But a 3/4 inch hole should be good enough!~! Busted a rib and clipped another just slightly. No meat damage to speak of.Also alot less mess inside than I usually get with an /06!

Congratulations. Pretty face on that buck. If not mounting him, save the cape anyway and sell it.

Good job.
