Is there such a thing as ethical sport hunting of polar bears? How is it done? H.C.

Polar bears can only be hunted as trophies in Canada by Non-Natives, but current record books don't accept them as sport trophies, to the best of my knowledge. Natives(like me) can hunt polar bears in Alaska, but they can not be entered either(to the best of my knowledge). All meat and fur must be recovered from polar bears in Alaska, don't know about Canada, but suspect the same. ~~~Suluuq [This message has been edited by Rusty Gunn (edited 02-06-2002).]
