I have talked with Todd about the attack he is a interesting guy.

He now carries a L frame 44 mag.

Before I retired about 11 years ago, I worked with Todd on the Gallatin National Forest.

Yes he is an interesting guy, he spends A LOT of time in the woods, and he makes some very beautiful knives. He used to get his elk just about every year with his .44 mag.

When I talked to him about that attack, I thought he told me that he did have his pistol in a shoulder holster, but he grabbed the bear spray first.

Luckily he has fully recovered from that incident.

Yes his training took over he was trained to grab spray first.
