I was checking on some trail cams today and scouting some new areas when I had a bunch of hogs feed up toward me.

After the smoke had cleared there were 5 young hogs on the ground.

I probably fired off a dozen rounds or more as they ran all over the place

55 grn TTSX out of an AR15 done the deed

Perfect size for eating and good to eliminate those suckers as much damage as they do!

Very nice sounds like it was fun.

I would agree that is some very fine eating there.

Looks like they escaped from the circus! Those are some colorful dudes... Big Grin

Nice shooting Ted!
I'll bet that was fun.
That truly is an interesting mix of colored pigs. Shoot the one with the black spot first....

IO a year or two, those 5 could have turned into 35-50. Gotta stem the invasion!

Well done. I left a bunch of piglets go when I shot my first hog, a sow. Next time, no Mr. nice guy. Got to do my part to curb the population.

I'm impressed by that shooting feat. Well done !
Once or twice I have hunted country literally heaving with wild pigs where with persistence shooting 5 or more per day is easily possible, but 5 in short order never an option. Mind you, I hunt with bolt action rifles, not AR types. Seems you had the right tool for the occasion. Agree with other posters, those are the preferred eating size pigs. Good job all round.

I pushed the remaining rounds out of my magazine last night.

5+1 on the launch pad

So with a 20 round magazine this tells me that I warmed up that Ozark mountain in about a 10 or 15 second spell

I let them feed to within about 5 yards of me before I killed the first two at that distance feeding side by side then the woods was a blaze!!

I used a 14.5" carbine with a zero power T1 micro red dot
