Begining of August was what local Fish and Game tolde me. Why it takes so long I have no idea. Doesn't leave much time for scouting!!

Alberta's draw result are out pretty early, right about now actually, except for the mountain goat and antelope draws...

Why the latter two take several more weeks I don't know. It's all computerized anyway, and the application deadline is the same for all.

I do know that I'd rather have a bit more notice than the few weeks they give now, should I draw that once-in-a-lifetime goat tag! You'd almost think they are doing it on purpose.

They get to collect Int. on your $$$, Antelope and Deer had to be in by June 1, last year I did not get a refund back until late Aug mid Sept if I remember correct, it really stops you from buying any left over tags in other states which usully go on sale mid July to Aug. if I don't get drawen this will be my last year I put in for Montana.

Well they've started drawing MT antelope, elk, and deer tags. Region 4 antelope are still pending, but elk tags are drawn.

Looks like I'm going to the Breaks for a rut hunt. Anybody know how to get in shape in two months? ;-)

I drew a 310-50 bull elk tag which was my 2nd choice. I don't even know why I put in for that area. Wolves have been seen there though...

I also drew a 700 antelope tag. That's always a fun hunt -- if the weather cooperates.

Still waiting on buffalo.

Everything else was "not successful", as usual.

Antelope (any sex) and Deer B (doe) for me - both in Region 7. Life is good! thumb

- mike

P.S. I have to say that I was unsuccessful on my Deer A and Elk application. On the positive side, those tags have become so expensive, that it is almost a blessing not to be drawn.
