Does anyone have experience with one of the new Lazzeroni chambered Savage rifles? It looks great on paper. How about the Lazerroni cartridges? Are they all they are supposed to be in terms of velocity and accuracy? How do they stack up against the WSM and recently unveiled Remington SUMs? Also, I have heard some rumors of a .257 or 6MM WSM offering in the near future as well as a .257 RUM (full size). Can anyone confirm or deny such tales? GOOD SHOOTING HBB

The Lazzeroin Patriot (.308) will beat the Win Short mag by at least 150 fps with the 180gr bullet..mine does that and more. The downside is cost...the brass is basically $2 each and the dies are $90 but the brass lasts forever and is benchrest quality without needing to do any prep.

The Patriot will best the WSM by 150 (+) fps? I'd like to see that! 300 WSM loads are now being chrono'd from 24" barrels... the data is they chronograph HIGHER than what Olin lists. 3,050 fps for the 180 grainers is pretty much the norm for the 300 WSM. I'd be willing to bet the Patriot will fade into oblivion now that USRAC/Olin have the WSM on the market.

Don't bet the farm on John Lazzeroni going anywhere!! Or his rifles. They said the same thing about Mr. Weatherby 50 years ago. And the people that did are still asking for catsup with their serving of crow!
