Was testing WebPhotos, my new photo host server as Webshots wasn't delivering anymore. Ah, the pic : a (small) Red Stag shot in the Scottish Highlands with a Weatherby Mk V, custom rebarreled in .300 Win Mag.

PS. Tombo, I agree with you. Apart from the handsome fellow holding the rifle, the other 2 are ugly.

Hi Andr,

Great trophy. When do you have shot this animal? This winter?
I have just one question (for my information), why Scotland? Cheaper than belgium or other reasons. I'm interrested in that way too.Thanks.

Hey Andr, Nice flick indeed.

Surely that's "not" another one of those Sierra bullet holes in that critter!(HA)

Congratulations!

Salut BER007, Compagnon en saint Hubert,
This Stag was taken, with 3 of his brethren, during a week I spent in Blair Atholl / Pertshire in '93. I went there 5-6 times so far and hope to go more. It's not the cheapest place in Scotland but the scenery is breathtaking and game plentyful. Stags are much smaller than in our country but you really earn them as the going is quite physical. Here's another pic of another Stag, during the same week.

Hot Core, sorry to disappoint you but, yes, Sierra 180 SP ProHunter it was in both cases, fuelled by 71.5 gn. of N160.
