Just thinking out loud but what month is your Idaho fall bear hunts? I may have some vacation time open, if I can scrape together the funds. What are the odds of a color phase?

The fall hunts start near the end of August. I saw 50% on color during my spring hunt so I think you have a decent chance. The fall bears will be bigger since they are going to be bulked up, but our fall area is a one bear bag limit area as well.

Last year there were several over 7 foot square taken during our fall hunt. These hunts are normally done on private ranches, stalking in fruit groves.
