| I have not hunted moose but I know two people who have in that area. If you don't mind second hand knowlege, I'll find out some basics like access points, where to go in, and or any particular drainages to checkdout. DW |

| The unit has fallen off drastically the past 2 years. My uncle had the tag in 2008 and killed a great bull. 2009 was tougher and 2010 was horrible. I had two clients with that tag last year and they shot marginal bulls after a lot of leg work and time. Tags were cut for the unit. There have been disease problems (told by a bio for the area) and recruitment problems.
Now, I wouldn't turn in the tag. Just be prepared to work harder and smarter. Hit some of the drainages where you can get a ways from the road. There will always be a good bull to hunt, just not as many as years past. Post back in Aug and we;ll see if there are any directions to point you to. |
