I have a cancellation on a 7-day Black Bear hunt in Alaska for April 20-26 of this year. Normal cost is $3500 - discounted to $2500. This is a boat hunt. I had three clients here last year during this same week. They all came back with very big bears. Al three squared 7' or better. One was 7' the other two were 7'4". (This is a true measurement, not a pull and stretch measurement.) One of the Bears green scored B&C which is actually odd in this area as they seem to have smaller heads. This guy runs a first class operation. I have sent him both Brown Bear and Black Bear hunters, everyone has been extremely pleased with every aspect of the hunt. After the Bear is taken care of, you can fish for Salmon and Halibut.

Good question. The hunt is done along the coast of SE Alaska. The hunters stay in a large cabin cruiser as their base camp. Smaller tenders (boats) are used to cruise the shoreline glassing for Bears. Once a Bear is spotted, the boat is beached and the hunters will proceed on foot to stalk the bear. You can expect to see quite a few Bears here and should take a nice one. I will try to post pictures.
