This hunt was last year (winter of 14/15). It was self filmed/edited, but it is still good Big Grin I take pride in not boring people to death with my videos. Nice, short, to the point.

Location: Red Bluff Ranch (my ranch)
Rifle: Weatherby Vanguard
Caliber: .308 Win
Game Boar, weight 198 lbs.

It was freezing rain, (you can hear it in the video) and I had seen this big tusked Hog on game camera before. So, I set up a pop-up and a camera, and it all worked out! Makes up for th edozen times it didn't work out.

Enjoy.

Sure can't beat a shot like that with anything.
Not even a kick seen.
Fine looking boar, needs a tooth brushing real bad though.

Is this what typical Texas hogs look like? Nothing like the one's in Florida.

Thanks for sharing, hey, what's the deal, ONLY ONE???

No, this is an exceptional hog. We rarely get teeth like that in my area. I have only killed two that had big tusks like that.

He was a true 200 lb pig (ok, 198lbs) getting 200 and up is not common at all.

I love how everyone says they shoot 200# pigs. then I ask, "Did you weigh it?"

Well ... naw, I uh ... umm ....

Nuff said.

Ironically, we shot a 224# pig the next day and it was a sow.

The shot was a bit high, spined him and he went to sleep immediately! You can actually see the bullet in the slow motion scene.

I love shooting pigs! Cool
