Ok, I was really impressed. Ya gotta admit, he's fast. So, the only question I have is who is the foolish camera person downrange? Ted Kennedy's car has killed more people than my guns

Did a google and read some other sources. As usual there is perhaps a bit more to the story. http://vault.sportsillustrated...G1069253/1/index.htm No doubt however, the guy is quick.

I ignored his arrogance and bragging and self proclaimed record holding mouth scat but thought his draw was impressive. Matt, just curious, but in your google search, did you find someone faster? Ted Kennedy's car has killed more people than my guns

Did it show him shooting an egg at 300yds with a 1911? I can't open it. I seen it on tv years ago. Pretty impressive to! He was at a Dodge dealer in Billings once, doing stunts. Actually a down to earth guy and pretty nice.

Must have a deal with Dodge. I saw him here in Eugene Oregon at the Dodge dealer as well. I met with him afterwards and had him do an action job on one of my Casulls. He's a little full of himself, but I guess when your that fast, you deserve to be. Cheers

according to Munden, Munden is the fastest and he's quite full of himself. Ted Kennedy's car has killed more people than my guns

He may be completely full of shit, but he can still draw, shoot, and holster faster than I can fall out of bed. The main vice of capitalism is the uneven distribution of prosperity. The main vice of socialism is the even distribution of misery. -- Winston Churchill

I noticed one of his comments in that SI article about people using "trick guns" where he does not. Outright lie! Look real close at the gun he sues when he draws, fans and reholsters. Looks to me like he's altered the hammer for fanning. Shooting at two one hundreths of a second? Must be after they subtracted his reaction time. Note that from what I saw in the video, there was no signal for him to draw against to start a timer. I did dabble in fast draw back in 1961/62. All I did was end up wrecking a couple of nice second generation Colt single actions. FWIW, my best time including time for reaction was 38/100s of a second. That was for shooting walk and draw wax where the wax bullet had to hit the target to stop the timer. Quite a few guys in the club were a hell of a lot faster than me. One thing that was brought out though that I found interesting. With time in the 1/100 of a second range, both opponents would most likely have killed each other. Now that I'm old and decrepit, I'd be lucky to draw and hit the target in one full second. Munden is a showman though, I'll grant him that. Now, I suppose he'll want to meet me at high noon on main street. Paul B.

Maybe the S&W guy was the fastest to empty a 8 shot revolver????? When I had the outdoor channel, there used to be regular programs about Munden, the S&W guy ( can't remember his name), and the archer Byron Ferguson ., Good entertainment. Mundens shot at the egg with a 1911 was impressive. I have no idea how many shots it took but he hit it! Found this: Competition shooter Jerry Miculek has attempted, and broken, some of McGivern's long standing records, such as the record for 60 shots fired from 10 revolvers. Miculek is one of the world's fastest revolver shooters, holding a number of records, such as 8 shots (from an 8 shot revolver) in 1 second, but his attempt to beat McGivern's 5 shot record resulted in a time of .57 seconds.[2] A testament to McGivern's ability was the fact that the 5 shot record was set in 1932, when McGivern was 58 years of age. Soon after that point, arthritis ended McGivern's competitive shooting career.[1]
