If you asked me cold my money would have been on the ram. As I see generally think sheep and goats as a stockier, more rugged animal then a Texas whitetail. Those big horn sheep fights on tv sure do seem like violent collisions. That deer really hooked and flipped that ram. Texaians do not like these boarder crossers taking all there corn. Good show by the American Whitetail.

Superior weapons and superior speed in using them. "The liberty enjoyed by the people of these states of worshiping Almighty God agreeably to their conscience, is not only among the choicest of their blessings, but also of their rights." ~George Washington - 1789

This not a big horn sheep, but a domestic feral sheep. Though he was a bad ass, but turned out he picked on the wrong guy, doesn't it. Tickles me running his ass off.

Never underestimate the power of a whitetail buck be it a 90 lb. coues or a Mule deer...BTW I was raised on a SW Texas ranch and we had Mule Deer and coues deer..A coues can whip the socks off a mule deer eveytime..Those little horns with small spread go between a Mule deers wide open horns and the coues shreads the mule deers head and gets an eye on occasion...plus the Coues is higher strung and quicker than a mule deer...I have watched them fight many times and the coues run the muley out of their territory interestingly enough...Seldom saw one in the others area except during the rut..Regular Whitetail and the so called Del Carmen Whitetail, and Mule deer will interbreed sometimes, the Coues, on the other hand is snooty and only breeds with Coues are so it was on the ranch where I grew up, and the ranch I leased for several years (Rosillas Mt. Ranch) South of Marathon, boarding the Big Bend National Park on two sides. Ray Atkinson Atkinson Hunting Adventures 10 Ward Lane, Filer, Idaho, 83328 208-731-4120 rayatkinsonhunting@gmail.com
