My Son was excited to take his first whitetail buck that wasn't a spike. He was hunting in Gonzales Texas last Friday. He was shooting a Browning Titanium rifle in 300 wsm with a 3x12 Swarovski ph scope. After watching the mature 8 point feeding at the far end of an oat patch for over an hour he finally got within range and he took him at 276 yards right before dark.

Very nice. Your son did a heck of a job there and it looks like you're also doing a pretty good job, Dad!

Beauty, and nice going on your boy! Tell me more about his hi-tech gear though, please. I'm particularly interested in the obviously new supergear that looks strikingly similar to a pair of ordinary sneakers and jeans. Smiler

You gotta know that retro is in with all young folk. Mack jackets and Elmer Fudd hats are makin' a comeback too, eh!

T, congrats to your son...thats a nice buck. And good work behind the camera too...thats a great photo.

Hey T, A BIG Congratulations to your son. What a fine Trophy Buck.
---

Does that rifle have the removeable magazine that hooks to the drop-down floor plate?

What Bullet and cartridge is he using?

Is the "Bullet Hole" under the rifle?

Continued good hunting and clean 1-shot kills to both of you.

Nice buck for Gonzales county... congrats to your young man! And to you for raising him to enjoy the hunt!

That's a hell of a shot for a young man! How old is your son?
