Just got back from a good time in Mississippi with some friends and business associates. I found out that Mississippi now considers 45-70 single shot rifles, a primitive weapon, just like a muzzleloader... WOW! Who wants a smokepole when you can hunt with a Handi-Rifle in 45-70, rain, shine or snow?
It's an odd world at times but it seems to me that muzzleloaders are dead and there are deals to be had in the Magnolia State!

I'm a wild bull rider and I love my rodeo

Yep it's true.

I use an H&R in 450 Marlin in Mississippi.

To tell you the truth my range is the same with the smokepole. I just hate cleaning them. So I bought a used 450.
