Cools pics, what's the story on the palmated buck stuck in the crack? Looks like some place in Wyoming.

Gun Control - A theory espoused by some monumentally stupid people; who claim to believe, against all logic and common sense, that a violent predator who ignores the laws prohibiting them from robbing, raping, kidnapping, torturing and killing their fellow human beings will obey a law telling them that they cannot own a gun.

The one in the crack is a Moose and yes probably a Shiras. The picture and several others in that series have been circulating the internet since last spring.
I love the top picture, love to see old photos like those!

I did not realize that Shiras moose live in an area that has Sage Brush... My guess would be a young Bull in parts of Colorado or Wyoming. Unless they put Shiras moose in the West.

Many places here in Wyoming sagebrush runs to the edges of creeks and willow drainages. Myself and my wife have both shot moose in Wyoming in sagebrush along creeks, at lower elevatiosn. I see them at work quite often out in the sagebrush.

Are the moose in Colorado and Wyoming Shiras moose? I thought they were the larger Yukon or Alska breeds.

Shiras. I even think parts of southern Canada call their moose shiras.
