This past weekend (both Saturday and Sunday) I saw several bull elk that still had their antlers. Some were spikes and some were 3 points and some were 6x6 bulls. I figured they would have dropped them by now. Rufous

Where I grew up in Colorado, the elk were all shed by the middle of April. So based on that, the ones you saw are probably going to be slick headed in another couple weeks.

In the East Kootenays, most of the shedding is done during the month of April. Some of the raghorns and spikes will hold on to their antlers until mid-May, however.
