Has anyone had any experience with these on game? I know that with the X bullet you can use a lighter than standard bullet, but is this pushing it? I ask because my dealer got two boxes of them over a year ago and I could get a good deal on them. They would be used in a .338 WMag.

It probably boils to whether your rifle shoots the things or not. I have never owned a rifle that I could get to shoot Barnes X bullets. I know others have but they havn't worked out for me. I would invest in one box and if that works out then pick up the other one.

buy one box and split it with a fellow reloader--makes the experiement cheap!!

I'll be cranking them out of my 340 Weatherby at about 3500 fps this year...maybe sometime during the upcoming season I can let you know.
