Can anyone give me some details on this area? We have tried to get info from the CDW, phone calls are fruitless, emails get error messages.
THanks!

I have no experience in that area but I have some advice that has worked well for me.
Call the DOW and ask for the name and phone number of the Field Biologist for that area, also ask for his cell phone number, find out which office he works out of.
Make it a point to be friendly and not pushy, these people owe you nothing so remember that and you will get further.
If possible attend the Sheep and Goat class that is offered by the DOW. I did not gain any real help from the class itself but was able to network with several people that were full of Sheep and Goat information from previous hunts or from helping friends out.
Try contacting the Rocky Mountain Bighorn Sheep (society or foundation I can't remember) and ask if anyone that anyone knows has any experience in the area.
If you are a member of Garth Carters Huntin' Fool they have a member information exchange section, I am not a member.
You can obtain Sheep numbers, harvest numbers and horn size as well as age from the DOW, but like I said you have to act like you are asking them to do a favor anything less and you will get less than stellar treatment.
Currently the DOW's website is down due to a "hacker" so lots of error messages associated with the website and e-mails these days.
Good luck

I forgot to say that with the website down the phones are tied up and 20+ minutes waits are not uncommon, Moose results were due out today and everyone who normally looks it up on the web was on the phone to find out, I was not one of the lucky Moose tag recipients I have max points and have been applying since before preference points (1987).
Wish me luck.............

I've helped a couple people fill sheep tags in that area. PM me and I'll throw some info your way.
