The below story is an e-mail I had sent to me from some friends I can't confirm any information in the below story or the authenticity of the photographs.... WARNING GRAPHIC ADULT CONTENT BEOND THIS POINT YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!!! "The following pictures are of a guy who works for the Forest Service in Alaska. He was out deer hunting when a very, very large, world-record-sized Grizzly charged him from about 50 yards away. The guy unloaded a 7mm Magnum Semi-automatic into the bear and dropped it, finally, when it was only a few feet away. The monster was still alive, so he reloaded and capped it in the head. The Grizzly weighed over one thousand, six hundred pounds, was 12'6" high at the shoulder, 14' to the top of his head. It was the largest grizzly bear ever recorded in the world. Of course, the game department did not let him keep it: It will be mounted and put on display at the Anchorage airport (to remind tourist's of the risks involved when in the wild). Think about it. You would be at eye level with the bear's belly button when he stood, and he would look you in the eye when walking on all fours. This bear, standing on its hind legs, could walk up to the average single story house and look out over its roof .... The bear had killed - and< /SPAN> partially devoured - 2 other people before running into our hero. His last meal was a man on a nature hike. The Forest Service found that poor fellow's 38-caliber near his partially-devoured corpse, emptied. He'd shot 6-times and hit the grizzly 4 (they found seven 7mm slugs and four 38 caliber slugs in him) but obviously only wounded him since that incident was estimated to have occurred about 3 days prior to the bear's death at the hands of the Forest Service man." I TOLD YOU IT WAS ROUGH. Sorry about the pecker I didn't photoshop blurr it out. . ________________________________________________ Maker of The Frankenstud Sling Keeper Proudly made in the USA Acepting all forms of payment

I remember this from years ago. In fact, I may have posted it back in 2004 as well when it was new to me. The bear is real and the hunter and the bear (mounted) were on a Discovery show about 2 years ago. The dead guy was eaten by dogs if I recall. Ted Kennedy's car has killed more people than my guns

I believe this is a story combined from two different incidents. The bear was shot by a hunter, and the victim was in fact eaten by a bear but the two events are unrelated. I remember getting the bear photo years ago and the bear was described as 16 feet tall! He was actually 10'6". http://www.snopes.com/photos/animals/bearhunt.asp http://urbanlegends.about.com/...end%5Fadvisory.shtml http://urbanlegends.about.com/.../bl-grizzlybear5.htm ______________________ I don't shoot elk at 600 yards for the same reasons I don't shoot ducks on the water, or turkeys from their roosts. Hmmm, I didn;t know that bears had belly buttons! Must be posted by one of those damn liberals who don't know squat about wildlife... Peter. Be without fear in the face of your enemies. Being mammals, they are born with umbilical cords, and have belly buttons right in front of the pecker. Not that I spend much time looking around bear peckers.

What I find amazing about this story is not the BEAR story, but it being just another example the outright lying and bull shit that we are being exposed to on a daily basis in this World. Moreover, the internet seems to be amplying human dishonesty, especially when anonymity is guaranteed. AIU
