It is the customers that determine the fate of a company, not the bean counters. Since they make junk and are still in business it must be that they are making what people want.

I'd go with the Browning. The Model 70 trigger USED to be a good one that was easlily adjusted. It still is simple so it won't fail you, but to get it lighter isn't as easy as it used to be. A competent gunsmith can get the Browning trigger very sweet indeed. I'm not a fan of the three position safety. It always seems too loud to get in the fire position. I only have one Model 70 and 4 Browning A bolts, so you can see which way I'd go.
