My son was diagnosed with a lazy left eye at age 2 and immediately began wearing glasses/patching his right eye in order to strengthen. He started out with a chipmunk .22 rifle at age 6 and the peep sight was hard to see/use for him, even after I added some bright paint to the post. As he grew and his weak eye stregthened, I ended up buying him another gun - single shot rossi 20ga/.22 combo. On the .22 barrel I placed a cheap bushnell 3x9 scope and he does really well with it.

He wears glasses today when reading, but his eyes have strengthened to the point that he doesn't have problems shooting.

My son is in the same boat....20/100 in both...corrected. He also has a lazy eye.

I have found that he did much better with my 50mm objective scopes than with others. The 50s are all Leopold or Burris scopes. I have one 44mm Bushnell and several Leopold 40s as well.
