Does deer lure really work? I am talking about products like the Wildlife Research brand of products.

I think so. I just killed a 3-4 year old at 25 yards on the ground with no blind. That said he was not down wind of me.

I use the Evercalm and same company’s doe in estrus. When it dries you have to reapply it, and make sure the wind is hitting it. The sticks are kind of messy. I have watched bucks and does come up lick and smell the stuff.

I have had does blow and run. I open the evercalm stick and hold it in the wind, and they come back right back multiple times.

I think this is an old argument that is still VERY relevant!

From my experience, I do believe that lures and scents will most definitely help with younger bucks.
