I shot this Whitetail in Soutwestern ND with a Benelli R1 in 270 WSM. I really like this gun and it performed flawlessly! I used Fusion 150 grain factory loaded ammo. I shot him twice-thinking I missed the first time, but both shots were through the heart and within an inch of each other.

Congrats on the buck, I have been thinking of getting an R1 also, but I was looking at the 300 Win Mag.

Thanks guys-I am pretty proud of this one. We don't see alot of bucks this size in this area, so it was a welcome surprise!

mete,
I was sceptical about this gun, as I haven't shot one yet. This gun performed flawlessly for me though! I didn't shoot it 'officially" off a bench to see how accurate it could be though. It grouped within 1 1/2" in a real world situation at 100 yards. Pretty good I thought. The weather was really warm up here, so I can't tell you how it will perform in cold weather yet. I will have to report more at a later date!
