| Good pic. Just curious though, where in west TX?
The Hunt goes on forever, the season never ends.
I didn't learn this by reading about it or seeing it on TV. I learned it by doing it.

| Thanks Joe for posting. I believe a free-ranging west Texas aoudad hunt is one of the most underrated hunts going. These are challenging animals that thrive in vast, rugged mountains. I booked this hunt with Wade Darby; www.crosshairconsulting.com and he has always pointed me in the right direction. Wade organized this hunt with Mike McKinney who has a lot of contacts in west Texas. We were hunting near Comstock, close to the Devils River in some gorgeous mountains. I got lucky and took this mature ram with an H-S Precision handgun in 270 WSM at 240 yards. This is a great experience for anyone who enjoys mountain hunting. Heck, I'm ready to go back! |

| That's about as close to a rifle as a handgun can get! I'd like to do a hunt like that sometime, as I agree that out in that country it would be challenging regardless of what weapon was used. Good job and a beautiful animal there! |

| Congratulations, Mark! Why don't y'all post this in the handgun hunting forum??
