323My boys first deer!
Well my boy got his first deer today a nice 3x3 couse deer. As you can tell he is happy. Shot him with a 250-3000 using a 90gr sierra hollowpoint the first shot took his liver out and the second shot took out his lungs and heart so much for liver and onion and fried heart

PathfinderThat's a great Coues buck. Congratulations to you (guide) your son (marksman). I can remember when my boys shot their first deer..great thrill and sure makes Daddy proud.

you must be real proud ....... but do hammer home the 'finger out of the trigger guard' thing.......even on unloaded firearms. Please.

Hot CoreHey 323, Congratulations to the youngster and you too. It would be difficult to scrub that BIG smile off with a wire brush.

Don't take that as negative, I agree with Ian. Habits like that end up becoming accidental discharges and nobody enjoys them.
