RMK in an earlier post you mentioned the fed. guy who is running the wolf program at Yellowstone. You referred to him as a "sierra club/peta member", I think. If it's who I think it is, the wolf reintroduction is far more nefarious situation than you think. I remember seeing something on "Sixty Minutes" a report, something like two years ago about the conflict between the local ranchers near Yellowstone and the Wolf reintroduction Program. Anyway this Prick was commenting on the losses of the ranchers who were shooting wolves but still loosing enough of the herds to go into bankruptcy. The qoute was something like "Oh, they'll get one here or there but trying to kill wolves is a lost cause", with a smirk on his face. The report inadvertantly exposed this POS's agenda - to drive the ranchers out of business and expand the federal park! They're apparently buying the land cheap after defaulting on loans when they go into bankruptcy. Toolmaker

Arts: No I am not wrong on the greenies at the rmef! I have called them and I have went to their headquarters in person and I have viewed their tripe on TV. I am not mistaken - the misguided cretins at the rmef are in fact green! And their position and espousals on the poor misguided Wolf are irrefutable! They love having the Wolf and will take NO STAND WHAT SO EVER on controlling this new predator! You know the one that is decimating certain game herds in the Rockies. Nor will they take a stand on any other predator. Anyone that endorses or contributes to the greenies at the rmef is making an error. This organization should come out publicly and emphatically and state that they are against these uncontrolled and over populated Wolves! They won't! And I won't quit taking my ire out on them and their green leaders! I could care less about what you think about my "rants"! I am amazed at how often you "head up your ass types" base your opinions on someones tone or personality! Fuck my tone and fuck my personality you dumb shit! The Big Game herds are being decimated in certain parts of the Rockies and you blather about "your feelings" regarding my tone! Fuck your feelings man! Your Big Game Hunting opportunities are now starting to be diminished due to the Wolves! You can thank in part the rmef for that! Please cite which "facts and or information" I have misinterpretted! The problem is not with some Big Game Hunters ranting or tone it is with governmental agencies and their policies and Big Game Hunters who think happy thoughts regarding the Wolves! Happy thoughts like "every thing will be OK with Big Game Hunting just leave the poor Wolves alone" or "all of Gods creatures need a place to roam" or "fearing predators is only a human trait" or "don't be selfish the Wolves need to eat also" or "the rmef is not a greenies organization"! Well happy words are just that - happy words! The rmef needs to be attacked for their head in the sand attitude regarding Wolves and the harm they are now doing just like the governmental agencies and policies that have allowed these Wolves to so quickly over populate and start decimating certain Big Game Herds! Well Arts, if I had to choose between maintaining the Big Game Herds we have worked so hard to propagate over the decades and the commerce and the Hunting opportunities provided by those Herds and no Wolves - I would of course choose no Wolves! But in reality that choice will never be available to anyone. I want the Wolf populations to be strictly controlled by the individual states (as promised by the feds!) and I want their populations held in check to the point where the current human Hunting opportunities will only be maintained or increased for species like Bighorn Sheep, Elk, Moose and Deer! If that entails making new population quotas for Wolves lower than what the feds previously prescribed then so be it! Maintain the Big Game herds at maximum range capacity and maintain at maximum our (human) Hunting opportunities. I want our hard fought for Big Game Herds to be more than just a "feeding trough" for a predator that the greens want heaped on the west! And by greens I mean to include the rmef! Fuck the rmef! They are a "green" bunch of chumps in my opinion! And fuck wayne carlton and his "happy Wolf words" also! Our Big Game Herds were increasing just fine before the greens in the rmef came along and their slick ways to garner monies! Its great that anyone or any organization will purchase land for wildlife. Thats one thing Arts but just how fucking long can the Big Game Herds in the west tolerate loosing thousands of head a year (see my previous post for numbers!) to the Wolves? Or am "I" misinterpeting the numbers the game biologists are providing to us? Head in the sand means to me - sticking your head in a place where happy thoughts overwhelm reality! The reality is all the land in the west will do the Elk, Bighorns and Moose no good what so ever if the Wolves are allowed to keep exploding population wise! Call that a rant if you wish I call it legitimate concern and a call to action for anyone concerned about humans Hunting Big Game in the Rockies. Hold into the wind VarmintGuy

Ed Bangs is from Nort Da" Kota! And Jemenez is a wet back cock sucker! He is the one that Park county tried to cite for tresspassing when he was caught by a rancher releasing wolves that he had darted and was transporting to release them on private property near Meeteetse. A federal judge threw it out. DUH! Go figure!

Quote: It should not be hard for even a small intellect to figure out that because of human expansion we now have an artificial balance of nature nearly everywhere we live, with the exception of a few remote areas.......and we must keep the balance artificially! I have spent 50 years of my life in the outdoors, as a hunter, trapper, guide-outfitter, rancher etc. A "natural balance" is one of boom and bust, feast and famine, and does not work in the populated areas of North America because humans are the "joker in the deck" and rightly so! You obviously think you know something about how it all works, your kidding yourself. Those of us who have been there and know the score do not like getting used oats in our teeth.

furwhore: You are not adding anything substantial to this conversation regarding this very serious situation! Maybe YOU are simply not very substantial! If you have something of substance or a correction of anything I have posted then fess it up! If not keep your childish mindless drivel to yourself! Hold into the wind VarmintGuy

I have enjoyed all this talk about wolves, very informative. But here in the east we have an even more dangerous varmint. All game is in extreme danger and we need a license issued to persue them and many-many NR's to come help to deplete this scourge. THEY ARE CALLED COUNTY COMMISSIONERS AND DEVELOPERS. So far the tree huggers have been successful in protecting them, even though trees are falling like a house of cards.

Those developers are a problem out west to. Most of the mountanous (sp?) areas here are really being developed heavily. There are many areas with water problems (not enough, wells going dry etc) in the Southern NM mountains, mainly around Ruidoso and Cloudcroft if you've been in the area. Both are beautiful areas and great weather exept for a few weeks in the winter. I'll agree to an unlimited draw on those
