Opinions on where to go this yr. for a quality elk hunt. Has anyone hunted around the Chama, NM area? Anyone been to the Timbers?

If I was going to pay that kind of money for an elk hunt, I would stay in my home state and try to hunt elk area 7 with the Wagonhound Ranch. Not only is this ranch huge, but so are the bulls.

Yea, it is a limited quota area. I would start getting my preference points built up if I were a nonresident.
