Does anyone have a first hand experience with B&L hemisphere binoculars??

The reason I am asking this question is the close out sale on SWFA on 10x42 roof prism models.

I understand that the quality will not be anywhere close to Elite series but are they worth a second look?

my buddy picked up some the other day for himself and his brother and i must say they are garbage. i used them in the field dog hunting and was completely unimpressed. a decent set of glass for the dough is the new windriver p1 10X50s or 8x42s.not to be confused with the old windriver. these seem to be much better.stay away from the b&l. good luck mark

Hi Buffalo_buster,
If your wondering about the quality of binoculors hold them at arms length so your looking at the exit pupil. If there isn't a perfect circle of light then the quality isn't there as far as lens alignment which has to be adjusted for by your eyes which leads to a headache after a glassing spell. Poor alignment of lenses show up as a grey triangle within the circle of light. I would tend to stay away from binoculars that have this tendency. The B&L Elites are very good binoculars but I'm not familiar with the line you've mentioned.
