I'm leaving thursday to go deer and elk hunting. Anyhow I'm going to take one of my Army duffle bags so I can bring some meat home if I get an Elk my wife and kids love it and it has been awhile since they ate some. My question is as long as I keep the wight below the Airline max bag wieght they shouldn't give me any grief. Also do I need to put my elk tag inside the bag to avoid any hassle from the airport nazi's inspecting the bags in the back. I'm thinking airlines max wieght is 65 or 75 lbs that is lot of meat to fill the families craving for elk meat. Any thoughts on this would be appreciated.

John

I brought a fair amount out of Colo several years ago. Just froze it and wrapped my down sleeping bag around it and it stayed cold. Keep under the weight limit and check the regs in the state you will be hunting in, in Colo if the meat is cut and wrapped, I don't think you need the tag but it may be a good idea to at least have a copy in the bag.
