I'll be loading for my "Swede 96/38" this summer for the fall hunt in Kansas, Which weight bullet do you guys prefer for Whitetail and which powder and charge do you like best. Shots will be taken anywhere from 10-250yrds.

The 129 gr Hornady or 125 gr Partition would be good choices. I have used 45 gr 4350 with the Hornady and 47 gr in the Partition (Max) These will make great loads for deer hunting.

I use the 125 grain Nosler Partition and 48 grains of IMR 4831 with a Remington primer.
