Guys,

Just released on the wire, Chai Vang is found guilty on all six counts of first degree intentional homicide. He was the hunter that shot and killed six hunters in northern Wisconsin during the 2004 gun deer season. The jury only deliberated three hours before reaching their verdict. http://www.jsonline.com/

Good.
The punishment should fit the crime. I belive he shot most of them in the back. Sounds like a good place to start to me.

Thanks, Mark G

He'll get what's coming to him. One way or the other.

Sorry, Wisconsin does not have capital punishment. I suspect he will get six consecutive life terms. His criminal complaint also states that an additional five years can be tacked on for each of the six charges because the crime was committed using a dangerous weapon (duh).

I wish we could ship in down to TX or FL though.

My guess is that he will find punishment enough trying to determine if "he is the husband or the wife". Justice done?

With luck he will get the same justice that Jeffrey Dahmer got. I believe he didn't make a year before he was beaten to death in prison.

Lets not call this murderous poacher and criminal a hunter. This is a title that he most certanly does not deserve.

That's right; it will never be enough.

And too bad all the reactions here couldn't be more akin to the reaction of the victims' families...

subdued, mournful; and if "thankful," then only that justice was administered fairly, with honor.

And if you think I'm being "preachy" you're right.

Like you, I didn't loose anyone that day.

Unlike you, I was in the woods that day, hardly 30 miles from where Vang chose to go "hunting."

There's nothing to feel "good" about in this one. If you feel anything at all, let me suggest contacting the familes and giving them your condolences.

And--God forbid--maybe you'd even be so bold as to contact Vang's family, and tell them you'll keep them and him in your prayers.

That would be the "Christian" thing to do.

But if you're not a Christian, do whatever the hell you want.

friar

P.s.

I'm not pointing my finger at Widowmaker, but at ALL of us, myself included (that's right, I feel the same way as the rest of you sonsabitches).

A good starting point. BUT instead of using center or rim fires use Daisy Red Ryders until death. Every time he pesses out wake him up again and continue. Lawdog

I believe that every state should do away with lethal injection, and bring back public hanging as their form of capitol punishment, then televise it. People would straighten their asses out real quick after seeing one of those.

Why waste a good bullet, when we could go right to the gutting? There hasn't been real justice in this civilized world for centuries... Man doesn't always have the right answers... do we try hard enough?
