The drawing results have started. So far the deer is only one done. I didn't draw the X zone I wanted and got a D5 tag. My daughter drew the D5 either sex tag so at least one of us is going to get to pull a trigger on opening day!

Drew a rifle tag for X3b with 3 other hunting buddies. Should be a good time. Also will end up with a B tag and a bear tag.

Thanks,

Greg

All NO's did not bother putting in for goats drew 4 years ago so i'll never catch up with points, got a point for deer as I did not want to draw as it opens in X zone same time as WY goats which I drew.

Good luck in X3B hunted there quite a few times years back.

In the dim historic past I hunted all over the X zones, never to be again. It is very frustrating not to be able to hunt in your own back yard. Frowner Times were good with friends long gone.

It takes me about 3 points to draw my X zone....next year I'll have 3 again!!!!

It seems (just by the draw odds in the book) that the point system is working. Except for the prime X zones, the number of max point holders is getting lower.

Points work just fine for deer because of the number of tags and you get a fast turn over in most cases, you have 50% shot with 2pts in some X zones, and many X zones draw 100% with 3-4 pts.

Antelope elk and sheep forget it once you draw as the random number of tags are so low it's almost lotto odds.

I have max points for elk and sheep and i'll be in a walker before I ever draw.

That said I still like the point system vs no points.

Same here......

An antelope tag or elk tag (any Tule tag) is a once-in-a-lifetime tag, because once you draw, you'll probably never draw again. The sheep tag is like winning the lottery......
