My Godfather has one of these and wants to sell it to get something more realiable. Is there a market out there for something like this? Is it better to wait until next hunting season to try and sell it?

You could sell it to me!!!! Seriously if you put it on e-bay you'll be bombarded. I've always wanted one for myself though.

I have a '46 Willy's with a 4.3L v6 and a four speed truck tranny that I'd be able to sell in a heartbeat.
Look around a bit and you should be able to get a good idea of it's value. Nate

A frined of mine is in the business of selling and restoring Willys CJ civilian and MB military series jeeps. Depending on the model and condition he gets anywhere from $3000.00 for a beater CJ in decent running condition to $20,000+ for a fully restored military MB. He sells all that he can get. A good reference for price is Hemmings Motor News.

Actually, 1949 was a bad year for Willys. The Jeep is really not worth anything, no matter the condition. I am a nice guy and have a big heart, therefore, I wont charge you anything to dispose of it for you. Wink

Actually, ebay will bring top dollar, but my offer stands.
