"we’d call that “game meat.†But, in keeping with the times, it might be better to relabel it as free-range, grass-fed, organic, locally produced, locally harvested, sustainable, native, low-stress, low-impact, humanely slaughtered meat. " The above is a short quote from an article in todays NY Times (of all places) excellent op-ed article on Hunters, hunting and game eating etc. Game meat...NY times article http://www.nytimes.com/2007/12/14/opinion/14rinella.htm...=opinion&oref=slogin Note that there is also an opinion page where you can access a blog for public reaction and add comment. Here I was surprised at the the amount of refreshing support and found little new in the diatribe of the normal detractors other than several back to back calls for disassociation with the NRA. ("Hunters be sensible and give up the radical NRA belief of gun rights and save yourselves!") Yeah and you'll probably sell me a bridge and continue to let me fish off it right!!!! Anyway positive words on hunting in the Times is news in and of itself! Best Regards Mike O | ||
