After a real struggle to get tags last year and having to hunt public on new ground, We all drew first go this year. There were very few any deer tags let last year and we saw tons of young (1.5 to 3.5 year old) bucks. I am pretty jacked for this season. Lets hope for no blue tongue! So far so good.

We have two private options out by Hi Point and over by Whitewood. We ended up near Bison last year, but we had the kids with youth tags so we got to visit our friends at both spots and got out with the kids hunting does. It has been a really tough 5 years out there between winters and blue tongue, but the last couple have been perfect. Good water, good grass, and reasonable winters. We may finally get to see a buck with horns past his ears again this year.
