Well I just got back from some local Mule Deer hunting...I saw a monster buck, I am guessing he would go 32 to 34 inches in spread and had a lot of mass, and he was with another buck that must have been about 27 or better..The first time I saw thim they were about 250 yards standing broadside on an open hill and I'm hunting with my 25-35 carbine..I tried to work around and come down on them from the top and they left for parts unknown I guess, as I never could find them..Went back the next day and gave it another try and this time he was alone and 300 yards and making tracks..On the last day of the hunt I found him laid up under a rim rock and now it was my turn, I worked my way around the the mountain and crawled up on the ledge and peeked over. He was looking at me from across the canyon standing about where I was when I saw him...I waved at him and tipped my hat as he ran off...It was a fun couple of days..I saw a number of smaller bucks but didnt' shoot anything as the season closed with that last farewell. At any rate I got my horses legged up good for the Sat. roping. Didn't win any money there either! pissers Life is cruel!! beer

See there, if you had taken a real mule deer rifle with you, like my favorite, the 270, you'd be posting pictures!

hilbily

I would like to see a 30+" mule deer. In my scope that is.
