Gotta have a guide for a nonresident to hunt grizz so the nonresident "greenhorn" does not shoot a cub or get into trouble. Seems to make sense But the guide does not even have to be a resident of the state or a citizen of the U.S. or have any experiance with bears at all. He just has to pass his test and get hired by a Registered Guide. Does not make sense. I lived in Ak and killed two Grizz and I now live in the lower 48. I now have to pay a guide so I can hunt agian. Does not make sense when you consider what I have written above. How do you get the spell check to work?

I agree with you and think its BS. Can a guide hire himself? if not he would have to hire a guide to hunt for the animals he guides for.

Remember who writes all these silly regs; people who (generally) don't hunt! George ------------------
