Doc,

I have had more of those "bigass" Woodleighs pass through than stop, and they make BIGASS holes on their way out.

I'd wager your triple shocks would not have passed through the critters that stopped those Woodleighs, provided identical shot placement.

ASS_CLOWN

I cannot wager as I do not know what critters you are talking about. Bigass holes are good. But you have not disclosed exactly what animals were killed with these bigass bullets.

I lost a bull elk. The bull I did kill would've likely been lost had he made it into timber as the first did.

so....you shot one bull elk under conditions that made it easy to lose him, then let it run off to die somewhere, and shot another? in the same hunt/season?

please correct me if the above isn't true, but i find it very unethical to shoot an elk, let run off and die somewhere, then shoot another. better stalking, thinking about what might happen after the shot, better shot placement, and better tracking are all alternatives to risking another wounded, dead and unrecovered elk. perhpas the failure wasn't in the bullet, but in the hunter.

NitroX,

I still don't understand why you are so fired up? Has it to do with the FACT these are Woodleigh (Aussie bullets)?

I really don't consider any of them to have "failed". However, on the Accurate Reloading Forums, bullets which have lost at least half their original weight seem to be dubbed failures. Four of the five of these Woodleighs have lost over 1/2 of their original weight.

Furthermore, I believe I provided adequate explanation in a previous post as to how a bullet can end up punching through 5" of solid bone. It still went ~ 24" and made a good hole too.

I have over 120 rounds loaded with Woodleigh bullets for this rifle, and another 150 loose Woodleigh bullets. Do you really think I don't care for Woodleighs? Come one man, there is NO BETTER soft pointed bullet on the market than a Woodleigh, as far as I am concerned. Now the Northforks may be equal to a better, but until I try them out personally, I will stick with my Woodleighs. Besides Northfork don't make no 0.51" bullets.

Seeing you probably don't own a rifle which does what you claimed

That statement of yours makes perfect logic to me. I own loaded ammunition for such a rifle (see previous picture with the AR posting screen in the background, too) JUST IN CASE I HAPPEN TO FIND SUCH A RIFLE IN MY MAIL BOX OR LAYING IN THE YARD.

Marterius,

I am glad you find the truth humorous. I find those that cannot accept the truth and argue with it's very existence humorous.

Pathelogical liar is the usual reason people get upset with you.

When I shoot Woodleighs into sand like you, they still perform well. And even better in game.
